Splice lets you pay for your friend group with confidence, automatically charging everyone their share of the bill. No chasing, no spreadsheets, no awkward texts.
No account needed.
Everyone was notified, nobody had to pause, and all 6 members were charged automatically. You didn't have to ask twice.
The Splice difference
You already know how this goes. The bill gets split in the group chat, and then it's your job to remember who never sent it.
The organizer side
One screen holds the whole thing: who's in, what it cost, and who paid for what. When it's right, you charge. This is literally the screen you get.
The receiving side
No app, no signup, no account. Your people open the link on their phone, see exactly what they owe, and add a card once. This is literally the screen they get.
Circles
A Circle keeps the same people together, so you can charge them again whenever you need to, however many times you need, without sending a new link or asking anyone to join twice.
What people split
Questions
No. Only the organizer does. Everyone else opens a link or types the six-letter code in any browser, adds a card, and they're done. There's no account to create.
You get back exactly what you fronted. Each person's share carries a 1% Splice fee plus standard card processing, folded into one all-in number they see and agree to before anything moves. Nobody gets a surprise line item.
Stripe handles the cards and the payout. Your share passes through Splice's Stripe account only long enough to reach whoever you owe โ Splice never uses it for anything else, and never stores a card number.
You see it the moment it happens, and so do they. Retry it from the app once they've fixed the card. No chasing, no group-chat detective work about who did and didn't send.
Yes. Everyone gets a heads-up before their share is charged, with the exact amount and enough time to pause it or ask you about it first. Members can also set their own spending limit, which an organizer can't override.
Add both expenses and you both become organizers. Splice nets out who's already covered and charges the difference once, and no charge can start until every organizer confirms it.
Only if they give us their own number and tick the consent box when they join, and then only about a splice they personally joined. Never marketing. Full detail on the messaging page.
Front the next one without thinking about it. Splice handles the rest.
